Meet Us

Welcome from Orange County wedding and portrait photographers Ernie & Rebecca. We are a husband & wife team working together to capture your memories and create family heirlooms.

We prepared this short bio to help you get to know a little bit about us before making the important decision to work with us. We want you to understand who we are and how we work to ensure you will be comfortable working with us.

We thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and families. We strive to build a real rapport with our clients because the relationship we develop will show in the photographs we take. Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with our clients.

Our Blog:

We invite you to follow our blog and sign up for our newsletter. Ernie will post Tuesday Tips – photography tips focused (pun intended) on techniques everyone can use.

Rebecca publishes a monthly column with an assortment of wedding and portrait preparation tips designed to reduce stress and save money. We will also post photos from our  monthly Road Trip adventures photos.

A Little Family History:

Rebecca and I met in 1996 and have melded two families. We are fortunate to  spend as much time as we do with our families, including grandkids. Needles to say, we have a million family photographs. If you check out our blog you’ll “meet” our extended family.

Rebecca and I have enjoyed photography for decades now. Our website includes examples of our personal work (e.g. landscape, sports) as well as our recent wedding & portrait work. We both love the challenge of capturing personalities in the photographs we take. For special events we concentrate on capturing the emotion and unique moments of the day. This is why we are so adamant about meeting our clients and learning important traits that we can capture in their photographs. After all, we are creating family heirlooms that you will treasure forever.

We have had separate financially rewarding and fulfilling careers in other (less artistic – more technical) fields. Our photography business allows us to spend quality time together doing what we both thoroughly enjoy.

We focus on event and portrait photography because we enjoy meeting a wide range of interesting people and loving families. We do not manage a high volume studio. We are honored to share special moments with our clients. We challenge ourselves to capture special moments and personality traits of our clients.

Charity Work:

Rebecca and I are charter members of the Orange County Help-Portrait Professional Photographers Community. Each year Help-Portrait photographers provide portraits to local families in need, at no charge. We recruit hair stylists and makeup professionals to pamper the families with a mini makeover prior to their private portrait session. It is one of the most gratifying events of the year for us. We are inspired by the families we meet and the resolve they show. Help-Portrait has now gone global with photographers in over 200 countries participating.

We also offer discounts to support local charities. We recently teamed with Surfers Healing to sponsor a day of surfing for autistic children. We donated 20% of the proceeds to help Surfers Healing purchase surfing gear. We recently auctioned off a free family portrait session to support Stand Up For Kids. Proceeds were used to support the Orange County SUFK Outreach Center.

We have begun a relationship to support a terrific charity – Food for Kids. This worthy organization, piloted by The Volunteer Center, delivers non-perishable food to Title One elementary school children. I wrote a blog post with details and a group portrait photo we provided. We look forward to providing more photography services to this new local (Long Beach) charity organization.

Travel Adventures:

Rebecca and I love to travel and hike. Years ago we bought a van converted for camping. We love its amenities such as hot water, a soft bed, battery power for reading and listening to music and a propane furnace for cold nights after the campfire.

We enjoy monthly Road Trips spending time together in quiet and photographic settings. The vast majority of landscape photographs in our personal gallery are from our Road Trips. Of course we take every opportunity to bring grandkids along to expose them to the wonders of outdoor activities – no PlayStation games are allowed.

If you’ve read this far we thank you for your time. If you would like, feel free to give us a call anytime.
